For years, Grace has watched the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf - her wolf - is a haunting presence she can''t seem to live without. Meanwhile, Sam has lived two lives: In winter, the frozen woods, the protection of the pack, and the silent company of a fearless girl. In summer, a few precious months of being human -- until the cold makes him shift back again. Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. It''s her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears and the temperature drops, Sam must fight to stay human or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

I picked up this book seeing as I've been on a supernatural-esque book reading tangent. It wasn't quite what I expected. The story itself isn't bad I like some of the twists on classic werewolves but overall it seemed a little bit bland. I think this book was definitely aimed at younger readers and doesn't necessarily appeal to older readers like some Teen novels do. I liked the character of Grace but was a bit annoyed by Sam, the song lyrics were a bit much in my opinion. Reading it is definitely not a waste of time but I probably won't read it over again.

The story was ok, I felt the love between Sam and Grace. The plot was predictable, but it was straight forward. At the end it was what most reader desired. I felt that it could add a little more suspense, but other than that. Pretty decent book, right on topic and didn't leave me wondering too much. Can't wait till I can seize the next book, Linger
