This book was amazing.There's only seven chapters in this book. Each chapter is the day that Samantha gets to relive which she does seven times hence seven chapters. After reading the first chapter I really wanted to throw the book down. Samantha is one those popular girls who pretty much gets the best of everything. Her and her friends are the most popular and everyone else is second best. She makes fun of others and doesn't realize the extent of how hurtful it is. 

Before I Fall I so different from all the books I've read lately. Its like peeling back the layers of an onion. Each time Samantha wakes up and relives the day, she does things a little differently and sees things a little differently. Some of her actions affect others too like cheating on a test or getting the last parking space and she sees the different outcomes and domino effect of her actions.

The book doesn't get repetitive, you know the basic story of what's going to happen throughout the day but each time Samantha does things a little differently that often times veer the story in a new direction. Each day, Samantha grows a little and I end up liking her a bit more. At the end, she's so different from who she is at the beginning. Lauren Oliver truly did an amazing job with her debut novel and is one author to watch out for.
