Where She Went by Gayle Forman

Released: April 5th, 2011
Publisher: Dutton Juvenile
Pages: 264
Rating: 5/5

Adam, now a rising rock star, and Mia, a successful cellist, reunite in New York and reconnect after the horrific events that tore them apart when Mia almost died in a car accident three years earlier.

I had been anticipating the day this book came out. I finished it in one sitting, just completely devoured it. I loved how we got to hear from/get into Adam’s point of view. It was different, and I quite liked it. It was nice to read how he was feeling throughout the course of what happened to Mia before, and what he thinks of her now.

It was amazing, the writing was just so powerful and emotional – I especially loved the lyrics Forman had at the top of each chapter. Absolutely amazing. However, I was slightly disappointed with the ending… It wasn't at all what I expected; it was alright but nothing special! Leaves me wondering if there will be a third book in the making? Hmm... Guess we’ll have to wait and find out! Overall, the book was fabulous and was beautifully written as per usual.
